AWR - Communication and transparency is essential!
There are still a number of unanswered questions, areas of ambiguity and various interpretations in relation to AWR. There is however one certainty; AWR will be introduced in October and it is here to stay.
With this in mind those involved in recruitment, from candidates through to the end hirer, must do everything they can to ensure that they are compliant and adhere to AWR where applicable.
There is no denying the good intention of the regulations and in certain areas of employment it has been a long time coming however, as with all new legislation, there will be a number of grey areas and people unintentionally caught within it.
Inspired Recruitment is now working closely with clients, candidates and trade associations such as APSCo to ensure it is fully compliant where it needs to be and to ensure everyone we deal with is aware of their obligations and potential liabilities, should these obligations not be adhered to.
There will undoubtedly be a number of amendments to the AWR guidelines in the run up to its implementation and many various interpretations of these guidelines thereafter until test cases are run through the system.
The one constant however, whether supplying vulnerable workers or the highest level professionals, is that communication and transparency between all parties within the supply chain is essential and proof of best practise and reasonable endeavours to operate within the spirit of AWR is of paramount importance.
In the run-up to the implementation of AWR Inspired Recruitment will be offering a number of workshops for its clients, candidates and suppliers to ensure best practices are put into place and that all parties are compliant where required.
We will host workshops at offices in Manchester and London, client offices and also be looking for a number of our clients to be in attendance at trade association seminars, such as APSCo, which are scheduled for the up and coming months.
We will also be implementing a number of systems in the up and coming months and looking to clients and candidates for their input and feedback.
